CVS MinuteClinic Opens New Walk-In Medical Clinic in Swampscott

CVS Pharmacy is opening a new medical clinic in Swampscott, expanding access to preventive, wellness and care services.

MinuteClinic locations are opening in Swampscott, Beverly and Charlestown. The clinic offers walk-in care seven days a week, including evenings and weekends and is staffed by board-certified nurse practitioners.

“By making care more accessible, we can help patients address health concerns earlier and avoid unnecessary visits to higher-cost settings such as the emergency room,” said Tara Allain, executive area director of MinuteClinic. “These new MinuteClinic locations will help ensure patients in Charlestown, Beverly and Swampscott have convenient access to preventive, wellness and acute care services close to home.”

MinuteClinic locations offer vaccinations, health screenings, routine lab testing and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Care teams also provide physicals and other preventive services and diagnose and treat common conditions, prescribing medications when appropriate.

Care is available to patients 18 months and older. Patients can walk in or schedule appointments in advance through the CVS Health app or at MinuteClinic.com.

The Swampscott location, at 413 Paradise Road, is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“Our board-certified providers help patients stay healthy through preventive services such as vaccinations, health screenings and wellness visits, while also treating everyday illnesses and injuries,” said Amanda Sanderson, senior practice manager of MinuteClinic. “With evening and weekend hours, we make it easier for patients to get the high-quality care they need in a way that fits their schedules and busy lives.”
