Swampscott Porchfest returns Saturday, September 20, and performers and hosts can sign up now.
Started in 2019 by ReachArts, a local nonprofit arts group that closed in 2025, Swampscott Porchfest lives on thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers.
“We are grateful for assistance from the town of Swampscott, including the Recreation and Public Works Departments,” the press release read.
From noon to 6 p.m., Swampscott Porchfest offers free, family-friendly music as the town transforms into a stage for performances “from folk singers to classic rock and soul bands,” according to the press release.
The day kicks off at Linscott Park with a performance by the Blue Big Band. After that, guests can roam the town to catch live sets, including at the Family Porch at Town Hall, which will feature a community drum jam and a pirate show.
Local businesses and organizations are invited to sponsor the event and help keep the music playing. Sponsors will be credited on the event website and social media. To contact the organizers, reach out to SwampscottPorchFest@gmail.com.
To sign up to perform, visit swampscottporchfest.org/signup/band. Acts can range from solo performances to full bands.
Those interested in volunteering can sign up at swampscottporchfest.org/signup/volunteer. Volunteers will help with organizing, outreach, logistics and event-day support.

Lastly, to host at your porch, stoop, driveway or front lawn, sign up at swampscottporchfest.org/signup/host. Hosts are welcome to perform themselves, invite a friend or be matched with performers by the Porchfest team.
A map and schedule of the day will be available at SwampscottPorchFest.org.
The rain date is Sunday, September 21.
