A tree hit a house on Pine Street on Saturday, as Swampscott and the rest of the North Shore region are facing very high winds.
The Swampscott Police Department did not have a comment on the incident following a request from the Swampscott Tides, as of 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
The tree fell on Saturday morning, uprooting from the sidewalk and hitting the house at 40 Pine St.

Department of Public Works fencing has been placed around the affected area. It appears that the tree struck an area of the roof of the home, potentially damaging the roof and a second-floor outdoor deck area.
No one was injured from the tree falling, according to the Swampscott Police Department.
Swampscott is seeing 28 mph winds, with gusts upward of 50 mph Saturday morning, according to Windy, which uses global, high-resolution regional, and European weather models.
The town is expected to get rain through 8 p.m. Saturday, and gusts will taper off to the teens on Sunday.

Over 1,000 Swampscott residents are also without power, according to National Grid’s outage map. It is unknown if these outages are related to the tree falling.
A tree nearby to the site of the incident, at 49 Pine St., was part of the discussion on Wednesday of trees in town to potentially be removed.
