Alongside friends, family and coaches, seven Swampscott High School graduating seniors, who will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate-level, celebrated their next step with a signing day ceremony on Thursday.
Each student athlete, decked out in their new school gear, was called up to center stage where they took photos with their parents and siblings to the sound of a thunderous round of applause.
The seven student athletes are:
- Will Bush, football at Assumption College
- Nola Conley, field hockey at Westfield State
- Dylan DiFilippo, baseball at Northern Essex Community College
- Ana Eccles, tennis at Bridgewater State University
- Jami Ford, baseball at Suffolk University
- Jailys Jaquez, cheerleading at Endicott College
- Caden Ross, baseball at Northern Essex Community College

Dozens of their graduating classmates joined the celebration, cheering on the seven student athletes as they were called up.
“I could not be more proud of all of our student athletes,” said Athletic Director Kelly Wolff. “Parents, congratulations. You obviously did a fine job with your student athletes.”

Wolff said she is proud of what the students accomplished both on and off the field and court.
“We’ve had so much success as teams, as student athletes and just so much growth as people,” said Wolff. “I’m so impressed with our student athletes, everything from winning league championships to running deep runs into the state tournament. It’s just been absolutely awesome.”
