DAV to Host Free Veterans Benefits Seminar October 21

The Massachusetts Department of Disabled American Veterans (DAV), in conjunction with the E. F. Gilmore DAV, will host a free Veterans Information Seminar on Wednesday, October 21.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. all are invited to the Clarke School, at 100 Middlesex Ave. The seminar is designed to educate veterans, surviving spouses and their families about available veterans’ benefits and services, including how to apply for benefits and obtain assistance with claims.

The event will be conducted by DAV National Service Officers, who are trained specialists in veterans’ benefits. They will provide counseling and assistance with filing claims to help veterans and their families understand and access the benefits for which they may be eligible.

Attendees will also be able to learn about state, federal and local programs while connecting with veteran service professionals and community partners.

The seminar is free and open to all veterans and their families. DAV membership is not required to participate. Refreshments will be served.
