PorchFest Returns to Swampscott With Congressional Candidate Dan Koh Taking the Stage

Swampscott PorchFest is back on August 29, and it will feature one special guest who will not only be performing on the 85 Monument Ave porch but also appear on residents’ election ballots three days later.

Dan Koh will be featured at the 85 Monument Ave location, performing as “Koh & Co.” from 3:30 to 4 p.m. after B-Side Hustle. Koh is running for Congress in the Massachusetts 6th District. He previously performed at Salem’s inaugural PorchFest.

With Rep. Seth Moulton challenging Sen. Ed Markey in the Democratic primary ahead of the 2026 Midterm Elections, the 6th District’s congressional seat is up for grabs. Koh is running against Bethany Andres-Beck, John Beccia, Jamie Belsito, Mariah Lancaster and Tram Nguyen. Micah Jones is the Republican candidate on the ballot. Koh became the first candidate to make it onto the 6th Congressional District primary ballot, after collecting over 2,000 certified signatures.

The Swampscott Tides reached out to Koh’s communications team for comment.

The overall PorchFest event will run Saturday, August 29 from noon to 6 p.m., with Sunday, August 30 as the rain date. The town will transform into a stage for free, family-friendly performances ranging from folk and bluegrass to classic rock and more.

Other highlights include the Swampscott-Marblehead band B-Side Hustle, as well as Assistant Town Clerk Michael Brison at 144 Elmwood Road, and bluegrass band Familiar Strangers.
