Swampscott High School recently formed a new advisory board made up of students from each grade. The council sits on the first Friday of each month to discuss possible solutions to different aspects of the school, including the recent objective to allow an open campus to seniors during the final quarter of the school year.

“We can be a voice to the students, a way for us to levy our grievances with the administration,” said Joey Blood.

The administration said it hopes that this “boots on the ground” approach will allow better communication with school attendees.
