Over 100 seniors from Swampscott High School and their families gathered in front of Town Hall on Wednesday afternoon to take pictures and participate in a red carpet send-off, before boarding buses to their prom at Cruiseport Gloucester.
“I think it’s really nice that everyone’s here,” said Jr., a senior at Swampscott High School. “We all get to have one last celebration with everyone that we knew and basically went to school with for like the past 12 years.”

“It’s very like nerve wracking and exciting at the same time,” said Kevin about his upcoming graduation. He will be starting his first year at UMass Amherst in the fall.
The group collectively agreed that they were excited to experience a final social gathering with all of their classmates.
“A lot of people are not going to graduation,” said Melora, “so this will be the last event where everyone’s kind of like all together.”
