The Swampscott High School auditorium filled up on Friday as the Film and TV Club hosted its first “Friday Flix” event.

Friday Flix are meant to serve as a monthly fundraiser for Swampscott High School’s TV and media arts program. As the Swampscott High School is going through the application process to establish media arts as its third Innovative Pathway, the Friday Flix programs are looking to support the initiative.
Proceeds will support student projects and the purchase of new equipment.

The first viewing, which was open to students and their families, was of the 1986 classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”
