Sam Walker’s American Tavern is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Event on Friday, May 8 from 3 to 6 p.m.
“This event is all about getting to know our neighbors better, becoming more involved and ultimately supporting a community that we are so lucky to have support us!” said Kate Langill, director of marketing.
Local educators are invited to join the restaurant and enjoy complimentary bites as a small thank-you for all they do. Invitations have been extended to the Swampscott, Salem, and Lynn school districts, as well as educators throughout the surrounding North Shore area.
Teacher Appreciation Week runs from Monday, May 4, to Friday, May 8. The celebration honors the work teachers do for students and recognizes the dedication, patience and passion they bring to the classroom every day.
“At Sam Walker’s, we believe in supporting, uplifting, and celebrating our community. Educators have such immense and important impact, and we felt that hosting this Appreciation Event would be such a fun, social way to honor that,” Langill said.
Any teacher with a valid school ID is welcomed to Sam Walker’s event.
“Come as you are! We’ll bring the spread and the vibes,” Langill said. “There’s no one more deserving than our teachers!”
