Game On for All: Inclyousion Sports Brings Inclusive Play to Swampscott

Inclyousion Sports is teaming up with the Swampscott Recreation Department to bring inclusive sports programming to Swampscott Elementary School, starting this weekend.

The fall 2025 season kicks off the weekend of September 6 with Inclyousion Sports leading the charge. The organization offers programs throughout the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, with locations in Swampscott, Andover, Haverhill, North Reading, Danvers, and Newburyport. The programs teach sports fundamentals to children of all abilities, with and without disabilities.

“We are entering our fourth fall season of Inclyousion Sports programming, and we’re excited to welcome new kids and families into our supportive community,” said Greg Perkins, cofounder and president.

Inclyousion Sports creates welcoming spaces for young athletes of all abilities to build teamwork skills and have fun on the field. Classes are non-competitive, giving kids a chance to explore new sports while forming friendships in a pressure-free environment.

Perkins and his wife Kristen started the organization when they were looking for a way to introduce their oldest child to sports but could only find programs that were traditional sports classes with large sizes and volunteer coaches. That challenge inspired them to create Inclyousion Sports, a place where every young athlete is celebrated.

“Our multi-sport approach provides the opportunity for kids to learn more than one sport in a season, and our small class sizes and well-trained coaches are perfect for kids who may be overwhelmed by traditional sports teams,” Perkins said.

In Swampscott, Inclyousion Sports will offer baseball and lacrosse at Swampscott Elementary School, at 10 Whitman Road, on Saturdays from September 6 through November 1.

Children ages 2 to 4 will practice from 9 to 9:50 a.m., followed by ages 5 to 7 from 10 to 10:50 a.m.

The program fee is $225.
